Who we are
Piomes Ltd, trading as Total Credit Check, is the controller of the personal data described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 16835835, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. In short

What we collect and why
When you use the directorship check
You enter a name, a month and year of birth and, if you choose, a postcode. We send the name to Companies House’s public data service to search its register of company officers, then compare the month and year of birth and any postcode with the results ourselves, and show you what matched. Companies House receives the name from us, not from you, and does not see who asked.
We do not store what you enter or the results, and we do not use them for anything else. To keep the check available for everyone, we count how many checks each IP address runs in a short period; the count is held in memory only and is never written down. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked to use.
When you email us
We use your email address and what you tell us to reply to you, and keep the conversation so that we can follow it up. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
Who we share it with
Only our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure, which acts on our instructions, and Companies House, which receives the names searched in the directorship check. We would also share data if the law required us to.
Cookies
We set no cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. A form on the site may set a strictly necessary security cookie that protects it against forged requests; it holds nothing about you and is deleted when you close your browser.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. Email contact@totalcreditcheck.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
We are not a credit reference agency. Your credit file is held by Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, and you exercise your rights over it with them; each must give you a copy free of charge. Information on the register of company officers is held by Companies House.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when what we do with personal data changes, for example when we add a tool or a service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
