Total Credit Check is a trading name of Piomes Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16835835, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
These terms apply whenever you use this site. By using it you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the site.
What the site is
The site explains UK credit reports and credit scores in plain English, and offers free tools, such as a check of the public register of company directors. It is general information, written for people in the UK.
We are not a credit reference agency and we cannot change anything on your credit file; only the agency holding an entry can do that. We do not give financial advice, arrange credit or give debt advice.
Using the guidance
Our articles and guides describe how things usually work. They cannot take account of your circumstances, and lenders, the credit reference agencies and the rules all change. We work to keep the guidance accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise that it always is, so check anything important with the lender or agency concerned before you act on it.

The directorship check
The directorship check searches Companies House’s public register for company officers matching the name and month and year of birth you enter. It shows you what the register holds, which may be incomplete or out of date. The register publishes only the month and year of birth, so a match may be a different person with the same name and birth month, and a person can be listed under more than one spelling of their name.
A result is not proof that someone has been appointed without their knowledge. If you see an appointment you do not recognise, contact Companies House.
Use the check to look up yourself, or for another lawful reason. Do not use it to harass anyone, to build profiles of people, or to run searches in bulk.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site for anything unlawful, try to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with how it works, or copy its content or query its tools by automated means. We may limit or block access where we reasonably believe the site is being misused.
Our content
The content of the site belongs to Piomes Ltd or the people who license it to us. You may read, print and share it for your own non-commercial use, and you are welcome to link to any page. Information from the Companies House register remains subject to Companies House’s own terms.
Links to other sites
We link to the credit reference agencies, Companies House, advice services and other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they use your information.
Our responsibility to you
The site is free and provided for your personal use. We are not responsible for any loss that results from relying on general information on the site, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add a tool or a service. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
